I'm really don't understand. My brother is trying out new things, he told me tried crystal meth last week. I didn't really pay attention because he boasts and lies a lot, but now I think he's been using it regularly. I've made my mom and the kids aware of this, of-course, as usual my mom is no help but a crying mess. As usual, I'm stepping in but I don't know what to do.

How does this happen?

Gather information on the nature of meth and addiction, learn about it and the patterns to look out for,
Ask around for other people who have experienced meth and addiction problems, and what they did, or are doing.
See what support programs they use, or they have suggested, for the addict -- and for what support programs they use for themselves.
You're not alone, do your best, try to get info -- if they are open to help you can go with them, or help them contact Narcotics Anonymous -- you could contact NA too, and talk to them.
